Del Oro Parents Club has partnered with KAPLAN Test Prep to provide workshops and classes to students on the Del Oro HS campus.  Get experience with the SAT and ACT college placement tests without the pressure of actually taking it!

Another option is a Kaplan SAT Test Prep Class which is recommended for juniors: 

The Summer and Fall classes have been scheduled.. Please call Ann Heimberg (916)223-2014 for dates or they will be in the D.O counseling office. 

Juniors (Class of 2013) can begin their SAT test preparation by enrolling in a 10 session Kaplan SAT prep class.  This course includes 18 hours of expert Kaplan teacher instruction plus 4 full length SAT tests given throughout the course to monitor progress.  The 10 session class costs $599 for DO students. A higher SAT score is guaranteed or your money back.  A summer and fall 10 session SAT prep class has been scheduled for the summer and Fall of 2012.  This class will begin in June running through July for summer and August through October for the Fall test date. Kaplan has an additional option for students in any grade level that can be used throughout their high school years called "College Prep Advantage" program and will provide your student preparation to get into college.  The extensive instruction includes PSAT prep, both SAT and ACT prep in the classroom and/or online, SAT Subject Test prep, AP Test prep, online resource library, practice tests, custom program length to suit student goals/schedule, and includes additional online sessions with tools to help your student navigate college admissions.  All this along with the Kaplan guarantee of a higher score or your money back.  Cost for this program is $999. 

Kaplan private or small group tutoring is available.  Also, additional Kaplan classes are available in the Sacramento Kaplan Center including ACT test preparation classes.  Our DO students will get a discount on these classes too.  When enrolling tell them you're a student at a partner school, Del Oro High School.
